Every penny counts!

Cancer has affected everyone in one way or another so RAIN OR SHINE please come join us for our 3rd Annual “Cruzin 4 a Cure” Car, Truck & Bike Show that will be held on September 20, 2014 at Star Baptist Church from 9 am  to 2 pm.  ALL vehicles are welcome.  We will have a legal burnout after the show is over so stick around to watch.  A $200 gift certificate to use toward any tire purchase or mechanical service given by Gateway Tire will be awarded to the best “burnout”.  We will also have traditional/chicken spaghetti lunch plates for purchase.  Bring your quarters for the “Cupcake Walk” too…

As most of you know it rained last year but we still had our 2nd Annual Cruzin 4 a Cure Car, Truck & Bike Show and because of the participants, sponsors and volunteers we raised $2159.00.  Don Tyler the DJ said it well Saturday; “Cancer doesn’t stop because of the rain so THANK YOU for not letting the rain stop you from fighting cancer.”  Thanks to all the volunteers that helped with this event….

The 1st Annual “Cruzin 4 a Cure” Car, Truck, & Bike Show was held on September 22nd, 2012 and was a huge success!  We had beautiful weather with lots of sunshine & family fun, but most importantly, we had 63 who have supported the American Cancer Society by registering their vehicle.  A special “thanks” goes out to all of you for your willingness to be a part of our first-time event.  With your help we raised $3015.  We hope that you had a great day and will come again next year.  I would love to thank all the volunteers and the sponsors for making this event successful.

Cruzin 4 a Cure was started in 2012 in Star, MS.  Our event was established to raise money for the American Cancer Society because my family is just like yours and has been affected by this terrible thing called “CANCER”.  My husband and I both have lost a parent to cancer among other close family and friends.  You can help us make a difference by supporting Cruzin 4 a Cure.

Did you know that 1 out of 2 men and 1 out of 3 women will get cancer in their lifetime?   About 1,660,290 new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2013, and in 2013 about 580,350 Americans are projected to die of cancer, almost 1,600 people a day. Cancer remains the second most common cause of death in the US, accounting for nearly 1 of every 4 deaths.  Please come support Cruzin 4 a Cure to help raise money for the American Cancer Society that will benefit ALL families.
